Now that the floodwaters have receded, post-disaster reconstruction work still needs to be done. To this end, the South African government has used about 10,000 soldiers. This problem will cost South Africa 85 RP.

Another natural disaster problem. Last week, a dust storm swept across Turkey, causing severe air pollution in parts of the country. A spree of shooting attacks on Israelis and the police has the people on edge. ahead of this weekend's start of Ramadan, which is often a time of heightened tensions. Israel once again must devote many of its resources to handle this problem. It will cost Israel 60 RP.

With an environmental problem, seven million Ethiopians are plagued by a severe drought, creating a lack of water and food. This forces many to rely on government relief. The Somali Region, where 80 percent of the local population’s livelihood depends on livestock, suffers greatly with well over a million animals dying. Supporting this many people with food as food prices rise globally is a huge problem. This will cost Ethiopia 62 RP.

Doctors and other health care workers are on strike again in Angola, creating a health problem for them. The doctors' union called the strike after 20 children died in a single day at a pediatric hospital in the capital. These deaths were caused by a shortage of medical supplies. An Economic problem for . Russia and its ally, Belarus, are two of the leading producers of fertilizer, and the sanctions passed on these countries have meant a huge shortage of fertilizer and energy around the world. Fertilizers and energy are essential to growing food to feed us, and farming depends on it. Farmers in countries now need to pay more to grow their crops or the world will face famine. This problem will cost the countries 0.3 RP per KG of fertilizer used per hectare over 50 KG unless sanctions against Russia are ended.

South Africa struggles with a natural disaster problem as locusts continue and rain continued to fall. A military problem for Russia. The invasion of Ukraine is still not over, resulting in the gradual depletion of many resources in Russia, and the increasing loss of life and property caused by the war. A climate problem for Mexico. Because of recent global climate change, Mexico's beaches are being destroyed. Moxico Beach, once a popular tourist destination, is facing a major crisis, including problems such as increased seaweed washed ashore, shrinking beaches and disappearing shores. Unfortunately, tourism is a very important industry in Mexico, and the Mexican government has to deal with it. This problem will cost Mexico 45 RP.

A environmental problem for Australia. Many exotic foxes and feral cats are killing more native creatures. Alien organisms have caused damage to the natural food chain, and the relationship between competition and hunting has led to a sharp decline in the number of a large number of native Australian species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and insects. This caused the Russian stock market to collapse and have started a panic for the economy in Russia as people have started to withdraw cash from banks. These problems will cost Russia a total of 75 RP.

A natural disaster for Australia. Heavy rains from severe storms brought massive flooding to the area in and around Australia’s third-largest city of Brisbane. This problem will cost Australia 48 RP.

South Africa with a security problem. South Africa has been experiencing a poaching problem in its national parks. This time, instead of elephants and rhinos, poachers are hunting plants. The park rangers are trying their hardest to keep them alive and protect them, but it's hard. This problem will cost South Africa 40 RP.

An economic problem, the war between Russia and Ukraine has caused problems that are rippling around the globe. From a Random Event, Argentina, the USA, Ethiopia, and South Africa each had a 10 RP problem, all paid by themselves.

Unsolved from this meeting,

A security problem. Russia has a large force of troops and weapons placed on the Ukrainian border. Russia claims the move is only to “send a message” to Ukraine about its concerns, which is Ukraine aligning itself too closely with more powerful countries like the US and the EU). Mobilizing the military requires resources and the specter of war affects the economy. This problem is getting worse and will cost Russia 60 RP.

Another security problem. The conflict in Ethiopia has only gotten worse since the government last tried to deal with the problem. Fighting broke out of the Tigray region and the rebel forces are getting closer to the capital, Addis Ababa. A civil might break out in Ethiopia if this continues. The warring sides have caused widespread destruction and loss of life as well as many human rights have been abused. This conflict continues to rage and destabilize the region and will cost Ethiopia 75 RP.

A health problem. Not only water but also air pollution has raged in India. Industrial waste and sewage from upriver culminated in the Ganges River resulting in Hindus taking their ritual baths in polluted water. New Delhi, on the other hand, was also hit with crazy bad air quality levels this week. These two problems have cost mass suffering for the people of India. Not being addressed for two meetings, this problem will now cost India 60 RP. What's worse, the pollution is now affecting all countries in the region, which adds an extra 10 RP to the problem.

(from Random Event) Because Angola has helped harbor illegal drug producers. An increase in drugs and drug dealing is affecting all countries in its region. This problem was not addressed by Mexico at this meeting and will now cost 25 RP.

For the next meeting,

A health problem. Health care workers in Turkey strike to protest against poor pay and harsh working conditions. The spark that caused this problem was a bill was passed the give doctors a raise, but not their support staff. This is a problem because nurses, medical attendants, and lab assistants face low salaries, long hours, and, not to mention, violence. Over the past 11 years, doctors physically and verbally assaulted more than 100,000 people of their staff. And at least 10 have been killed by patients. This problem will cost Turkey 48 RP.

Another health problem. Australians have been dubbed the heaviest drinkers in the world, spending more time drunk than any other nation. Surveys show that they drank to drunkness of an average of 27 times a year, which is almost double the global average (which is 15). It's no need to explain how drinking is an unhealthy behavior that poses serious problems for the Australian medical problem. This problem will cost Australia 46 RP.

One more health problem. Doctors in Angola went on a five-day strike this Monday to demand a better working environment. While some emergency care will remain, all other care has been suspended for the week-long strike. This problem will cost Angola 40 RP.

Another security problem for Mexico. A series of difficulties affected Mexico this past week. Inflation, the new omicron variant, and gang violence. To make things worse, one of the most horrific car accidents in Mexican history left more than 50 people dead when a truck carrying at least 200 migrants crashed into a bridge. This problem will cost Mexico 40 RP.

(Industrial) South Africa continues to deal with energy shortages as a cascade of problems are beginning to pile up. Years of neglect and corruption in South Africa’s national energy company EKSOM has led to rolling blackouts over the last two weeks. The power losses have cost the economy $2 billion in the past few weeks. Experts say that the hardship will continue for a while and to fix will require increased investment to repair the existing power grid. This problem will cost South Africa 48 RP.

(Economic) The Turkish lira continued its decline as the currency has lost a third of its value in the past week, it’s worst skid since 2001. The result has been skyrocketing inflation of as much as 20%. Inflation and weakening currency harms investment and causes people to lose faith in the money they earn. To make matters worse, Turkey’s dictator, Tayyip Erdogan, is trying to fix the problem himself and has only made matters worse, according to economists. Can Turkey prevent an economic disaster? This problem will cost Turkey 55 RP, half of which must come from foreign investment.

(Health) Germany and other EU nations have been experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases recently, despite high rates of vaccination. The WHO has warned the coming winter surge could be serious and encourages these nations to vaccinate even more. The rise in cases has led many nations to implement even stricter measures, including lockdowns which has led to widespread civil unrest. Germany will need to support its already exhausted medical system for the coming months. This problem will cost Germany 57 RP.

(Security) Russia has built up a force of 100,000 troops and supporting machinery and weapons on the Ukrainian border in recent weeks. Ukraine is warning the West of imminent invasion while Russia claims the move is only to “send a message” to Ukraine about its concerns (Ukraine aligning itself too closely with the US and the EU). Mobilizing the military requires resources and the spectre of war affects the economy. This problem will cost Russia 41 RP.

(Agriculture) An African swine fever outbreak is spreading widely in Vietnam and is hurting the local farming industry, forcing the culling of three times the number of hogs culled last year. African swine fever is harmless to people but fatal to pigs. AS an important source of food, it is important to get the outbreak under control. This problem will cost Vietnam 48 RP.

(Security) The conflict in Ethiopia has only gotten worse since the government last tried to deal with the problem. Fighting has spilled out of the Tigray region and rebel forces are getting close to the country's capital of Addis Ababa. If this were to happen, the result would be all out civil war in Ethiopia. Already the warring groups have caused widespread destruction and loss of life as well as many human rights abuses. The economic losses are piling up. Can anything be done? The situation is rapidly getting out of control. This problem will cost Ethiopia 57 RP.
