A recent bombing of a truck in eastern Algeria that killed five and left three wounded has served as a reminder that Islamic radicalism and terrorism remains a problem in the country. • Turkey is facing a water shortage, recent reports show that dams in the country are at or below 33% capacity. Istanbul itself may have less than 50 days of water remaining. Much of the problems lie in that the climate is changing causing doubt periods to last longer, the Turkish government prioritizing economic growth over environmental protection. This has led to poorly maintained water basins that collect and hold drinking water. To solve this problem, Turkey must secure 50 RP in foreign aid before the end of the next meeting.

A dispute of over taxation of “borderless” digital transactions on companies like Amazon and Google has led to a bit of a trade war between France and the US. France has insisted on taxing the mega-corporations’ profits in the country while the US has placed tariffs on almost $2 billion worth of French imports. This is causing harm to both countries’ economies at a time when things are pretty bad. This problem will cost both the US and France 25 RP or one country and take their case to the JN to get the other to pay the entire problem.

An increase in violence and banditry from various groups and gangs in northeast Nigeria have led to the government basically losing control of the region.
