Second meeting of the year!

President: Term 2

Supreme Council: Term 1

Today, one of our Supreme Council members was not able to attend the meeting, so the President made the ambassador of Turkey as a Supreme Council member for this meeting.

We started the meeting with fixing some old problems. Problem in the stock market of China was fixed with a resolution asking the JN to help because this is not only a problem for China, it’s a worldwide problem. The resolution was passed, 10RP was paid by the General Welfare Fund and the rest were paid by China. India and Pakistan both paid for its problems. The immigrant crisis in Europe wasn’t fixed because the resolution they prepared wasn’t finished and ready yet. They will have to come up with a new one next meeting. There was only one Old Random Events. Columbia didn’t come prepared so he only had one choice, to ignore the problem.

Moving on, we have three new Random Events. First, we have Turkey with RE #5. Turkey is already in a war, but was pulled into another war. Turkey decided to care for the refugees no matter the cost for as long as it is needed because it is the right thing to do, but it turned out that the refugees didn’t think that was enough so the conflict continues. Next, we have Columbia with RE #1. Though Columbia discovered oil, he didn’t have any TP so he chose choice 2. The bidding from the other countries will be held next meeting. Any countries that is interested in the drilling should come prepared next meeting. Finally, we have Pakistan with RE #8. Global warming is a huge problem. Pakistan will think about this and make the decision the next meeting.

Last, new Problems were assigned. Flooding around Tokyo sent people running for their lives. The government will need help cleaning up. This will cost Japan 10RP. Traffic in Manila is so bad that it cost more than $50 million USD a day to the economy. Hope the government can put thing back on track. This will cost Philippines 10RP. Egyptian security forces mistakenly killed tourists and drivers this week. Tourism is huge part of the Egyptian economy, and if Egypt can’t fix this, it will not help the industry rebound after it took a hit following the uprising in 2009. This problem will cost Egypt 10 RP.
